Sika Deer

The Sika Deer is from Japan but was introduced in 1860 to the United Kingdom where it is mainly found in Scotland.  They have a grayish brown coat during the winter months which becomes lighter during the summer with light spots and a dark stripe down its back.  Sika deer feed on grasses, trees, shrubbery, fungi, acorns, bark, sedges, conifers and ivy.  They actually can damage the environment as they eat everything...so God made a hunter.
