Red Sheep

The Red Sheep is an endangered species of Mouflon in Armenia, Iran, Azerbaijan, Afghanistan, where Bin Laden was killed (Pakistan), and India.  They are tan-brown colored and have a white patch of hair in a saddle shape.  Red Sheep can have a black or white throat that moves down to a black chest with white underparts.  They eat grasses and forbs mostly along hillsides, cliffs and other rocky terrain as they are good climbers.

Body Length: 43 – 57 inches
Shoulder Height: 24 – 48 inches
Weight:  60 – 150 pounds
Horns: curved out, down and around forming a “c” shape.
Horn Length: 24 – 34 inches
