An antelope that resides in harsh desert climates of the Sahara they have a glossy, short coat of grey-brown hair in the winter which fades to off-white in the summer.
The underparts of the Addax are white as well as inside of its ears and lips with an X-shaped patch of white on its face.  A tuft of dark hair is on their forehead (like a toupee) and the horns are twisted upward.

Addax are mostly active during the night, especially during hot days.  During the daytime they dig beds under the shade to avoid heat from the sun.
